PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a concentrated plasma solution obtained from a person’s own blood. This solution is used especially to accelerate the healing of injuries. PRP therapy is used in many areas such as sports injuries, osteoarthritis, tendon injuries, muscle injuries, joint problems, hair loss, and skin rejuvenation. PRP therapy is prepared by separating a certain amount of blood taken from the patient’s own blood through a special process. The separated blood is then turned into an enriched plasma solution and injected into the injured or damaged area to accelerate the body’s healing and regeneration process. The body’s own natural healing mechanisms are used during the application, making it a less risky option compared to other treatment methods. PRP is usually applied in several sessions and can be used in combination with other treatments to speed up the healing process.
PRP application is done for sports injuries, joint problems, hair loss, skin rejuvenation, and in the healing process after dental implants. PRP skin rejuvenation procedure treats wrinkles and sagging that occur on the skin due to environmental and genetic factors. In addition, the elasticity of the skin increases after the procedure. The application is done in 3-4 sessions with 2-4 week intervals. Those who have PRP notice vitality and rejuvenation in their skin after the procedure.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy is generally performed in three steps:
Blood Sample Collection: In the first step, a blood sample is taken from the person using a sterile tube. This blood sample is then separated through a special process in a laboratory environment.
Preparation of Plasma: The separated blood is processed in a centrifuge machine to concentrate it. During this process, the components of the separated blood are separated to create platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which is an enriched version of the plasma used during the blood clotting process.
Injection: The prepared PRP is injected around the area where it will be applied after local anesthesia is applied to the area. The injected PRP activates the body’s natural healing mechanisms to accelerate the healing process and promote renewal in the damaged tissue or joint area.
PRP treatment takes between 30 minutes to an hour on average and can be administered in several sessions according to the patient’s needs. After the procedure, patients may experience side effects such as mild pain, swelling, and bruising. However, these side effects are usually short-lived and mild to moderate, so it is often possible to continue with the treatment.
PRP prices may vary depending on the location where the application will be performed, the experience of the specialist who will perform the procedure, the size of the area where the treatment will be performed, and the region where the treatment will be performed. Additionally, there may be price differences between different countries and cities.
